Joe B. Hall finds unlikely friend in Louisville’s Denny Crum

In the radio studio, they form the Bluegrass State’s version of the Odd Couple. Joe B. Hall and Denny Crum have been talking sports on the radio in for nearly a decade, the rare occasion when Wildcats and Cardinals can co-exist.

Hall, the former Kentucky coach who succeeded the legendary and won an NCAA Title in 1978, was inducted into the National College Basketball Hall of Fame on Sunday night in Kansas City. Crum, the legendary coach, was in attendance to support his good friend and fishing buddy.

Hall admits that the relationship would seem unlikely — if it weren’t for their other favorite pastimes.
