Nerlens Noel was named to the five-man Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference First Team on Monday.  Noel joined Player of the Year Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Georgia), Erik Murphy (Florida), Trevor Releford (Alabama) and Jordan McRae (Tennessee) on the first team.

Despite missing the final seven regular-season games of the year, Noel’s 106 blocks ranks second all-time in school history behind Anthony Davis’ single-season record of 186 swats. Noel averaged 10.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in 24 games played. His 50 steals were the fifth most by a freshman in a single season.
