Man sentenced for shooting death of former Cat Desmond Allison

A man was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in the shooting death of a former University of basketball player.

According to court records, Richard Lee Willis pleaded guilty in February to involuntary manslaughter and failure to appear.

Willis was charged with aggravated murder after 31-year-old was shot to death on July 25, 2011 while standing in front of a home on the 2000 block of Avenue.

Willis was sentenced to four years in prison and given credit for more than a year of time served.
