A man was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in the shooting death of a former University of Kentucky basketball player.
According to court records, Richard Lee Willis pleaded guilty in February to involuntary manslaughter and failure to appear.
Willis was charged with aggravated murder after 31-year-old Desmond Allison was shot to death on July 25, 2011 while standing in front of a home on the 2000 block of Maryland Avenue.
Willis was sentenced to four years in prison and given credit for more than a year of time served.
