Wigwam Sports and Entertainment, LLC, a future provider of sporting, entertainment, convention, and trade show events, proudly announces the addition of the Teague family to their investment group. The Teague’s, a well-known basketball family, now join in the effort to “Revitalize The Wigwam,” the historic sports and entertainment venue in Anderson, Indiana.

“Our family is excited to become a part of Wigwam Sports and Entertainment. Our entire family realizes the significance of the Wigwam and we are committed to this opportunity,” said Shawn Teague. Shawn was a starter on the 1979 Anderson Indians State Runner-Up team and the Wigwam was his “home court.” Shawn went on to play at the University of Missouri and then Boston College.

The family includes sons Jeff Teague, starting guard for the Atlanta Hawks, and Marquis Teague of the Brooklyn Nets. Jeff is coming off an incredible seven game NBA playoff series against the Indiana Pacers where he averaged 19.3 points per game and 5.0 assists per game, with a game high of 29 points in game two and 28 points in game seven. Marquis and his Brooklyn Nets are currently in the NBA Eastern Conference Semi-Finals against the defending back to back champions Miami Heat.
