Kentucky Men’s Basketball Game vs. Ohio State Canceled

Kentucky’s scheduled game on Saturday vs. Ohio State in the CBS Sports Classic has been canceled.

The men's basketball team's previously scheduled game on Saturday vs. in the CBS Sports Classic has been canceled due to positive COVID-19 results within the OSU program.

The CBS Sports Classic is currently working with Athletics to find a possible replacement game to fill Saturday's void.

At the timing of this release, UK was still scheduled to make the trip to Las Vegas in hopes of finding a game.

UK Athletics will have additional updates at a later time.

On March 19, 1966, Pat Riley joined the 1,000-point club.  He did it in 54 games.

 

On March 19, 1966, in one of the biggest upsets in NCAA Tournament history, top-ranked UK, featuring “Rupp’s Runts,” loses in the NCAA Championship game, 72-65, to Texas Western.

 

On March 19, 1989, in the wake of an NCAA investigation, Eddie Sutton resigns as UK basketball coach.
