Kentucky recaptured the SEC Freshman of the Week award this week as Karl Towns garnered SEC honors for the third time this season.

The only other team in Kentucky’s regal history to stand 25-0 in a season was Adolph Rupp’s 1953-54 Wildcats.
With 25 consecutive victories to begin the season, Kentucky has tied the 1953-54 team for the best start in program history.
Willie Cauley-Stein scored 14 points, Aaron Harrison added 11 and No. 1 Kentucky matched the program’s best start by routing South Carolina 77-43 on Saturday.

Kentucky watched a lead that once reached 13 points disappear, when Karl Towns hung on the rim too long on a dunk attempt and drew a technical foul.

With 24 consecutive wins to open the year, Kentucky passed the 1965-66 Wildcats for sole possession of the second-best start in program history.

Willie Cauley-Stein scored 15 points and Kentucky stayed unbeaten with another tough road win, 71-69 over LSU.

Two years into his Kentucky career, Aaron Harrison has hit more big shots than most players make in a lifetime.

Kentucky was 21 of 22 from the free-throw line against Florida, which was a season-best 95.5-percent clip.
