The completion of Dana Altman’s coaching staff at Oregon awaits a decision by holdover assistant coach Kenny Payne, who visited the University of Kentucky over the weekend as a candidate for an opening with the Wildcats. Payne has not returned messages left for him, and through a UO spokesman, Altman said Tuesday he had no comment on Payne’s status until he had another opportunity to talk directly with Payne. It is presumed Altman will have a comment today, when he is scheduled to meet with media representatives.
