Harrison twins a top priority for Kentucky

From Jody Demling: “I’ve spend a lot of time watching the Harrison twins this summer. Andrew and Aaron Harrison are top players from the Class of 2013 and play for the Houston Defenders team that has made it to the finals of the AAU Super Showcase to be played on ESPNU tonight at 7 p.m. Talked with the kids and their father on Wednesday afternoon. Aaron Harrison Sr., the father and Defenders coach, said Kentucky coach John Calipari has “made it clear” his sons are a top priority in the 2013 class for the Wildcats.”

On This Day in UK Basketball History

On December 12, 1998, No. 5 Kentucky upset No. 2 Maryland, 103-91.  In a scintillating, up-and-down matchup that had a Rupp Arena crowd of 24,321 rocking, UK seniors Heshimu Evans (31 points), Scott Padgett (25) and Wayne Turner (17) and freshman Tayshaun Prince (13) outdueled Maryland’s Terence Morris (26), Steve Francis (25) and Obinna Ekezie (19).
