Funeral set for former Cat Desmond Allison

The funeral for former Cat Desmond Allison is set for Saturday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Port Tampa, 8306 Interbay Blvd, Tampa, FL.  Allison, 31, was shot to death Monday afternoon outside an apartment complex in Columbus, Ohio.  A fund has been established to help Allison’s family with funeral expenses. Donations may be made at any Fifth Third Bank branch location or sent to:

On February 18, 1903, State College (Kentucky) records its first win, an 11-10 decision over Lexington YMCA. The Wildcats finished that first season with a 1-2 record.

 

On February 18, 1909, with a 28-23 win over Cincinnati, Kentucky clinched its first winning season in school history. Following a “Senior Day” loss to Central University, the Wildcats ended the year with a 5-4 record.

 

On February 18, 1950, Bill Spivey scored 40 points against Georgia Tech.
