Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame ceremony set for Saturday

The newly established High School Basketball Hall of Fame has planned its first induction ceremony for nearly three months, and for executive director Rick Whobrey, this weekend can’t get here soon enough.  “It’s been anticipated for so long,” Whobrey said. “I’m anxious in a good way for it to come. It’s something a lot of communities would like to be a part of. There’s been a lot of work and preparation into the program we have for them. It’s going to be really neat to see it all come together Saturday night.”  The inaugural class will be inducted Saturday night at the Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown. The induction ceremony begins at 8 with a pre-program reception with the inductees at the Historic State Theater’s First Federal Gallery. There is also a golf scramble Friday at Elizabethtown Country Club.
