Future Kentucky Wildcats nominated for McDonald’s All-American game

Four future Kentucky Wildcats were among nearly 1,000 players nominated for the McDonald’s All-American Games, it was announced Tuesday.

Four future Kentucky Wildcats were among nearly 1,000 players nominated for the McDonald’s All-American Games, it was announced Tuesday.

Devin Booker, Trey Lyles, Karl Towns and Tyler Ulis have all been nominated for the boys’ game.

The final teams for the McDonald’s All-American Games will be announced at 6 p.m. ET on Jan. 29 in a special on ESPNU. The games will be played April 2 in the United Center in Chicago.

On April 14, 2024, Mark Pope, a captain of the University of Kentucky’s 1996 National Championship team, is introduced as Kentucky’s new head basketball coach to a crowd of more than 15,000 fans inside of Rupp Arena. Pope replaces John Calipari, who left after 15 seasons at the helm of Kentucky basketball to become the head coach at Arkansas.
