- Kentucky started with the lineup of Skal Labissiere, Marcus Lee, Isaiah Briscoe, Jamal Murray and Tyler Ulis for the third game in a row.
- UK held Boston scoreless for the first three minutes of the game while building a 10-0 lead.
- Boston rallied to within 10-9 and the dogged Terriers kept it close, eventually taking their first and only lead at 32-31 with 3:28 to go in the opening period.

Player Notes
- Senior Alex Poythress collected 14 points (7 of 8 field goals) and 10 rebounds, his second consecutive double-double and fourth of his career.
- Sophomore Tyler Ulis had 15 points, six rebounds and a game-high six assists.
