Kentucky Opens Rupp Arena Practice to Fans Saturday

Kentucky will hold a free public practice Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Rupp Arena, with doors scheduled to open at 9:30. Fans can reserve admission through UK Athletics, providing another opportunity to see Pope’s Wildcats before exhibition competition begins six days later.

Why it matters: With Kentucky not holding its traditional Blue-White Game this preseason, the open practice becomes the final major public preseason look at the team before the Little Rock exhibition.

Kam Williams Takes Another Step Toward His Kentucky Debut

was back on the Rupp Arena floor Tuesday before Kentucky’s Pro Day, getting up shots as he continues his recovery from two foot surgeries. Williams did not participate fully in the event, but the junior wing remains on track to be available for Kentucky’s Nov. 3 regular-season opener.

Why it matters: Williams’ shooting and experience could be important pieces of Pope’s rotation, and simply seeing him back on the court represents encouraging progress after an offseason dominated by rehabilitation.

DeMarcus Henry Gets Courtside Look at Kentucky’s Pro Day

Five-star 2027 wing DeMarcus Henry continued his official visit to Kentucky on Tuesday by attending Pro Day with his family. The 6-foot-7 Compass Prep standout is rated among the top three prospects nationally and has already visited Louisville, UConn and Arkansas while also considering North Carolina, BYU, Ohio State and Kansas.

Why it matters: Henry’s visit gave Kentucky considerably more than a tour of campus — he watched Pope conduct a practice with representatives from every franchise in attendance. For an elite prospect with professional ambitions, that is one of Kentucky’s strongest pitches.

Five-Star Point Guard Nasir Anderson Cancels Kentucky Visit

Five-star 2027 point guard Nasir Anderson has canceled the Kentucky visit that had been scheduled for this week. Anderson has not ruled out rescheduling, but no new Kentucky visit is currently planned; the Prolific Prep guard includes the Wildcats among a top 10 that also features North Carolina, UConn, Florida, Tennessee and several others.

Why it matters: Kentucky has been hosting elite 2027 prospects at a rapid pace, so losing a scheduled visit from one of the class’s better point guards is noteworthy. The Wildcats remain heavily involved with other highly regarded guards as Pope works to build the class around current commitment Ryan Hampton.

Kentucky Single-Game Tickets Go on Sale

Kentucky opened public single-game ticket sales Tuesday for its first 10 home dates of the 2026-27 season. The initial release includes exhibitions against Little Rock, Texas Tech and UCF along with regular-season games against Manhattan, James Madison, Northern Arizona, Grambling State, Wichita State, Appalachian State and Bryant; tickets for Kentucky’s final 12 home games will be released later depending on availability.

Wildcat World angle: The ticket release is another sign that the preseason calendar is rapidly giving way to actual basketball. Kentucky opens exhibition play Oct. 16 and begins the regular season Nov. 3.
