From The Season Never Ends 2010 Calendar:   “No way was bitter rival Kentucky going to notch the school’s 1,000th victory on Tennesee’s home floor. But #5 Kentucky was too much for the unranked Vols, getting 21 points from Dan Issel, 18 from Larry Steele and 17 from Mike Pratt to hang on 69-66.  The victory meant Kentucky was the first team in college basketball to reach the milestone, and the fact it came against orange blazer-wearing Ray Mears and the Tennessee Vols made the win sweeter.”

Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter’s Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
