Davis, Kidd-Gilchrist sweep SEC weekly awards

Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - photo by Pablo AlcalaThe debate between Anthony Davis and Kansas’ Thomas Robinson for National Player of the Year honors wages on, but for this week, at least, Davis wins the race.  The Kentucky freshman forward picked up not one but two awards for his monster week, earning National Player of the Week honors from ESPN and league Player of the Week honors from the Southeastern Conference. Fellow freshman Michael Kidd-Gilchrist pulled off the trifecta by winning SEC Freshman of the Week.
