Kentucky’s Josh Harrellson was named SEC Player of the Week after he averaged 16.5 points and nine rebounds in wins over Coppin State and at No. 22 Louisville. Harrellson scored double-digits in both games this week, including a career-high 23 point in UK’s win at 22nd ranked Louisville. He tied his career high with 14 rebounds at Louisville while recording his third double-double this season. Kentucky’s Brandon Knight was named SEC Freshman of the Week after averaging 21 points, six assists and 3.5 rebounds in wins over Coppin State and No. 22 Louisville. Knight dished out career-best and game-high eight assists in win against Coppin State. He then tallied game-high and career-best 25 points in the win at No. 22 Louisville.

Brandon Knight scored 25 points and Josh Harrellson added a career-high 23 points and 14 rebounds as Kentucky (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today, No. 11 AP) defeated Louisville (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 22 AP) 78-63 on Friday. The Wildcats (11-2) used their size to improve to 2-0 against their rivals since John Calipari became coach. Kentucky dominated the smaller Cardinals (11-2) in the lane behind the stellar play of Harrellson, who took advantage while Louisville focused on Terrence Jones.
